This Little Light donated to Summer of Social Good today…an awesome project!

Summer of Social Good is the first large scale online charitable campaign to raise funds strictly online through the power of Social Media and the Internet. The goal is to use the power of “Social Influence” via Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Blogs and other online media to raise an unprecedented amount for our fund benefiting The Humane Society, LIVESTRONG, Oxfam America and WWF from June 1st until August 28th, 2009.

Mass-global networking has never been so easy.  It’s very cool to see folks using social media for the greater good.  Be Cool.  Be Social.  Do some good today!

As a continuation of Hadley’s light project, ThisLittleLight.org has been extended an in invitation to join in helping light the world with BoGo Light.

BoGo Lights are high quality Solar Panel lights, lasting up to 20 years, charges in 8 hours, and provides 4-5 hours of illumination.

The BoGo Light Program works because of you. You buy and receive one light, BoGo gives ThisLittleLight.org a second light to deliver to someone in the developing world.

With two billion people without access to affordable lighting, we can use all the help we can muster in our quest! – BoGo Light

Soon we will post a link in the right margin – allowing you to purchase a light via the link so ThisLittleLight.org will get credit for your purchase and receive the free light to deliver to Africa.

Stay tuned!

The money was used to send flashlight kits to an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya. We hope to post some photos of the recipients in the coming weeks.
